Warner Bros hopes to enhance the output of DC games and movie IPs, such as Joker, Superman, etc.
Warner Bros. Discovery is working on a major overhaul of DC Entertainment's film and game production. According to foreign media Variety, they hope to maximize the value of DC entertainment IP through a more cohesive plan, which will place more bets on DC popular characters such as The Joker or Harley Quinn, but Warner Bros. executives also Hope to see more new Superman IP works, after all, the latter has not launched an independent film since "Superman: Man of Steel" in 2013.

In addition to film and television, Warner Bros. Discovery is also looking at ramping up game production for characters from DC Entertainment's popular IP.

At present, Discovery owns Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, which is already developing three games based on DC Universe IP: "Gotham Knight" is being developed by WB games Montréal (representative work "Batman: Arkham Origins"), will be Released October 25; Suicide Squad: Killing the Justice League is in development by Rocksteady (Batman: Arkham Origins, Batman: Arkham City, Batman: Arkham Knight ), scheduled for release in early 2023; and Wonder Woman (fear, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and Middle-earth: Shadow of War) currently in development by Monolith Productions, currently Not officially released.

Then we look at the other studios under WBIE, but their options are actually very limited. TT Games (Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga) has been working on Lego games for over 10 years; Avalanche Software is working on The Hogwarts Saga, which is expected to be released around Christmas 2022, and if the game is successful, they may More development will be done based on this.

Warner bros Games Boston, San Diego and San Francisco focus on mobile development, while WB Games New York appears to be just a support studio for now. And of course NetherRealm Studios, who seem to be working on a new Injustice game; but it doesn't seem to fit that bill.

Reports believe that if Warner Bros really wants to tap more games based on DC Entertainment's IP, it may need to consider acquiring some studios or licensing IP to external developers.
