Recently, a whistleblower revealed the screen size of Samsung's flagship mobile phone in 2022, among which the Galaxy S22 and S22+ are smaller than the current S21 series of mobile phones.

Today, a South Korean whistleblower said in a blog that only the Galaxy S22 Ultra model uses a glass back cover, and the back cover of the S22 and S22+ will use a brand-new processing technology. In any case, it is made of plastic instead of glass.

The news is currently unconfirmed and is for reference only. But combined with the shrinking of the appearance and specifications of the S22 and S22+ phones, it can be seen that Samsung is trying to open the gap between the Ultra version of the flagship model and the standard version.

According to Global Trends, the Galaxy S21 phones currently on sale by Samsung do use a plastic back cover, while the S21+ and S21 Ultra are equipped with the same Corning Gorilla Victus glass as the phone screen.

Report however said that the use of plastic back cover can reduce costs and encourage users who were originally inclined to buy S22 + to buy S22 Ultra.

It is expected that in the fourth quarter of this year, more news about this series of mobile phones will be received.

As of now, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 12+256GB version is priced at 9699 yuan, and the phone is equipped with a 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED screen with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and 1500nit peak brightness.
