According to Nikkei Asia, Mazda recently announced that in 2030, the proportion of pure electric vehicles (EV) will increase to about 25%.
Global Trends learned that Mazda announced in 2018 that all cars will be electrified by 2030, of which 5% will be pure electric vehicles.
In May 2020, Mazda’s first pure electric vehicle, the MX-30, began production. The car uses Mazda’s new electric drive technology e-Skyactiv1, a front-wheel drive system and a 107kW (145PS) AC synchronous motor, and is equipped with 35.5 kWh lithium-ion battery.
