A few days ago, it was reported that Huawei’s mobile phone shipments this year would be significantly reduced, perhaps only 50 million units; due to US sanctions and unable to purchase 5G-related parts, the new opportunities launched this year focus on 4G mobile phones.

According to the latest online news, Huawei's P50 series flagship seems to be unaffected, and it is expected to use the latest Sony IMX800 CMOS sensor.

The whistleblower Teme said on Twitter that the Sony IMX 800 will be the first 1-inch CMOS sensor designed specifically for mobile phones and will be used in the Huawei P50 series later this year.

Teme also mentioned that the Huawei P50 series will have 3 mobile phones: P50, P50 Pro and P50 Pro+. P50 will be equipped with a main lens, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lens, P50 Pro will have a main lens, ultra-wide-angle and periscope zoom, while P50 Pro+ There will also be telephoto and ToF lenses.

In another Twitter revelation, Teme said that the Huawei P50 series cameras are 50MP, and have RYYB pixel matrix and omni-directional PDAF phase focusing function.

The Huawei P40 series was released at the end of March last year and went on sale in early April, but the Sony IMX 800 will not be released until April. I believe the P50 series will not be released in March.
